WHAT WILL THE WORKSHOPS ENTAIL:
Yin Yoga is often called yoga for the joints. It is a quiet practice that will take you through postures to open your joints and create space. Deep stretches are held for longer to achieve the best results. Classes will include anatomical explanations, support and assistance in the poses, as well as guided breathing and meditation.
30th June – HIP-OPENING WORKSHOP:
The largest muscles in the body attach in and around the hips, and with research showing that tension can be held in the muscle tissue (fascia), working on opening the hips and releasing the tension can bring huge benefits to our body – both physically and emotionally. Today’s often sedentary lifestyle can lead to shortened tendons and hip-flexors, so this is a great opportunity to take stock, check in with your body and create some space.
14th July – SPINAL HEALTH WORKSHOP
We go to the gym to beef up our muscles but how often do we consider the health and strength of our spine? Every day our spine is put to the test: lying, sitting and walking all strains the spine and the muscles attached to the spine. This workshop will help you release back tension, heal your spine and help release any tension in the back.
11th August – DETOX & CLARIFYING WORKSHOP
After the summer’s indulgences this workshop gives you an opportunity to help your body to cleanse itself. No juices needed – the body is a powerful self-healing machine. We will just help it on its way. Through stretches, twists and poses that support renal and digestive function, you will leave this practice feeling revived and lighter.
