come as you are.

A beautiful boutique yoga studio based in the heart of Edinburgh.

The Edinburgh Yoga Room continues to be a recognised centre for an assortment of yoga styles, with our main roots in the Ashtanga movement – first taught here by the founder, who was the only authorised teacher in Scotland at that time.

come (back) as you are.

Welcome to The Edinburgh Yoga Room! We are now taking bookings for the Spring term with Stacey, the owner of the studio. The term begins the week of the 1st of April 2024 and runs for 12 weeks. We also offer a wide range of classes and are slowly adding more classes to the timetable as life returns to normal. If you have experience with Ashtanga practice, you are more than welcome to join a term at any point and pay the remaining weeks of the term. *please see under the section ‘about’ the how and why we run the Ashtanga classes as we do.

*All classes with Stacey will be both face-to-face and on Zoom.

Please follow us on Facebook or Instagram for any studio updates due to the ever changing landscape of further potential government restrictions.

For those that are not ready to return to in person classes, Zoom will remain a part of the studio framework.

Class timetables will remain the same. A wide range of styles enables you to choose the practice that will suit and support your lifestyle. The Yoga Room is also known for pregnancy classes and mum and baby yoga. Visit the Timetable for details. Private yoga and yoga therapy sessions are also available, bespoke to your personal needs.

Making time for yourself and your practice is beneficial for your overall health and wellbeing. Together may we heal ourselves and the world.

See you on the mat and online. Love and Gratitude,

Stacey

Please note: Individual partner teachers should be contacted for information directly.

The brilliant humour and sense of fun and adventure stacey brings to the classes meant we were brave enough to push our bodies and try new things in a safe and trusting environment.

The Yoga Room brand.

According to geometry, the pentagon is the last of the solid forms for one simple reason: it is the last form you can make out of the other shapes that fits together perfectly. This helps supports the ethos of “Come as you are” – all shapes, sizes, ages and gender are supported and welcome. The number 5 has always been regarded as mystical and magical, yet essentially ‘human’. We have five fingers and toes and commonly note five senses: sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste.
